Abstract

School Based Assessment(SBA) is one of thetransformationsof the education systeminMalaysia. As such, this study was conducted with the aim of identifying the School Based Assessment (SBA) practice among secondary school Mathematics teacher. The study was conducted in the form of a survey using SBA questionnaires. One hundred and three (103) respondents consisting of mathematics teachers who teach form one, two and three in 13 secondary schools in the district of Raub, Pahang. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Results of the analysis indicate that the overall mean score of SBA is high. Furthermore, the results also show that, there is no significant difference between SBA with teaching experience. The findings of this study can be used by those who involved in promoting the practice of SBA, particularly within the context of teaching and learning mathematics.
