Pelaksanaan Kurikulum dalam Meningkatkan Persepsi Nilai Patriotisme. Satu Tinjauan di Malaysia dan Indonesia

Pembangunan kualiti pendidikan merupakan imej kepada negara. Mengambil kira hal itu, Malaysia dan Indonesia antara negara yang menekankan nilai patriotisme dalam konteks kurikulum Sejarah untuk membangunkan kualiti pendidikan di negara masing-masing. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan meninjau pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran Sejarah di Selangor, Malaysia dan di Bandung, Indonesia daripada perspektif pelajar. Penilaian terhadap aspek pelaksanaan pengajaran Sejarah efektif ditinjau bagi meningkatkan nilai patriotisme juga dinilai berdasarkan perspektif pelajar. Kajian ini berbentuk tinjauan menggunakan soal selidik dan melibatkan sampel seramai 1200 pelajar yang dipilih secara rawak berstrata di Malaysia dan di Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan keseluruhan item berada pada tahap kebolehpercayaan tinggi. Keseluruhan dapatan bagi perspektif pelajar menunjukkan aspek patriotisme adalah mencapai tahap yang tinggi di kedua negara tersebut. Manakala analisis Ujian-t bagi aspek patriotisme berdasarkan jantina menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan di Malaysia berbanding di Indonesia iaitu terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan. Bagi analisis regrasi berganda pula menunjukkan penilaian pelajar terhadap pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran Sejarah guru merupakan faktor yang memberi sumbangan signifikan terhadap patriotisme di Malaysia dan di Indonesia. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan guru Sejarah di Malaysia perlu mengaplikasi pendekatan dan sumber yang lebih efektif bagi merangsang minat dan keberkesanan dalam meningkatkan amalan nilai patriotisme.
