Abstract

Ligan-ligan terbitan-terbitan berfluorin 1-fenil-3-metil-4-benzoil-5-pirazolona (HPMBP), 1-fenil-3-metil-4-(2-fluorobenzoil)-5-pirazolona(HPMoFBP),1-fenil-3-metil-4-(3fluorobenzoil)-5-pirazolona(HPMmFBP)dan1-fenil-3-metil-4-(4-fluorobenzoil)-5pirazolona (HPMpFBP) telah disediakan bagi tujuan mengkaji kestabilan kompleks kompleks La(III), Pr(III), Eu(III), Ga(III), Er(III) dan Lu(III). Didapati pemalar kestabilan untuk semua kompleks adalah mengikut turutan: La(III) < Pr(III) < Gd(III) < Eu (III) < Lu(III) < Er(III). Dapatan ini sepadan dengan pemecahan orbital f apabila komplekskompleks ini terbentuk.

The fluorinated derivatives ligands of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone (HPMBP), 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(2-fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone (HPMoFBP), 1-phenyl3-methyl-4-(3-fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone (HPMmFBP) and1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(4fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone (HPMpFBP) were prepared for the purpose of studying the complexes stability constant of La(III), Pr(III), Eu(III), Ga(III), Er(III) and Lu(III) with HPMBP, HPMoFBP, HPMmFBP and HPMpFBP. The trend in the stability constants of all complexes were in the following order: La(III) < Pr(III) < Gd(III) < Eu (III) < Lu(III) < Er(III). This is consistent to the splitting of the f orbitals when complexes were formed
