Abstract

This study aims to identify the transformational leadership of the administrator and teacher’s commitment in nursery and kindergarten in Tanjung Malim, Perak district. This qualitative design of study involved 10 nursery and kindergarten teachers in Muallim. The study shows that the most frequently practiced leadership style was transformational leadership. Teacher’s commitment level were also found to be high. The results of this study suggest that the administrator should practice transformational leadership styles at their respective nursery or kindergarten to increase teacher’s commitment level. Finally, the study proposed several suggestions to relevant agencies or parties for further actions and for future research.
