《马华文学十四讲》乃是马来西亚学者多年成果的汇总,集腋成裘,合众之长,构成了一部较为完整的入门教材。它吸收了晚近的研究成果,更新马华文学新论述并纠正了错误的马华文学史观。它打破了马华新旧文学的藩篱,把十九世纪末的马华古典汉诗放置在“马华文学”的框架中视之。其次,它在中国五四新文学与马华新文学的关系中补充了晚近新论。最后,它追溯马华现代主义文学的发轫及其初期发展,重新定位马华现代主义文学的时间坐标。
Abstract
The Fourteen Lectures Malaysian Literature in Chinese is a compilation of years of work by Malaysian scholars, which together constitute a complete introductory textbook. It incorporates the results of recent studies by updating the new critical reflection on Malaysian-Chinese literature and correcting erroneous views on the history of Malaysian-Chinese literature. It breaks the boundaries between old and new literatures, and places the classical Chinese poetry of the late nineteenth century within the framework of “Mahua Literature”. Secondly, it complements the late theory on the relationship between the new literature of May Fourth in China and the new literature of Mahua. Finally, it traces the origins and initial development of Mahua modernist literature and repositions the chronological coordinates of Mahua modernist literature.
