Abstract

In order to fully utilize the advantages of the rational quadratic Bezier function, this paper will present an innovative approach that will preserve the shape of the data by using this function. Generating the curve that displays smooth, pleasing and attractive are the main focus in this study. The function that will be used have only one shape parameters, Vi to constrain the curve shape. Hence, two types of free shape parameters, Vi will be derived to obtain the curve that can pass through all type of data with smooth and preserve the basic shape of data. The parameter of the first shape will be derived for the generating curve with first degree continuity. The parameter of the next shape will be derived to generate curves that preserve the basic properties of data which is positivity. Finally this paper will generate a more smoother and pleasant curve that can preserve the basic shape of data based on the parameters of the first degree continuity
