Publication Ethics and Policy

The EDUCATUM Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology follows the editorial guidelines recommended by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE). Papers will be accepted or rejected on the basis of importance in the field, originality and clarity of writing. In addition, the alignment with the stated scope and remit of the journal will be evaluated.

The EDUCATUM Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology is double blind peer reviewed. The editorial processes follow standard procedures thus:

          Call for submissions
          Article submissions and acknowledgements
          Initial evaluation
          Allocation of reviewers based on article content
          Reviewing process
          Author re-submissions if necessary
          Further editing and processing
          Evaluation for publication

Code of Conduct for Authors

          Authors must follow the published guidelines as set out on this website [Link].
          The submitted article must be unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
          Plagiarism checks will be carried out by EJSMT, but authors are expected to ensure that originality and
          correct citation processes are followed.
          Copyright for images, etc, are the responsibility of the author.
          A copyright transfer form must be completed.
          The identity of reviewers will not be disclosed to authors.

Publication Policy
 
The EDUCATUM Journal of Science and Mathematics is a fully peer-reviewed academic journal that highlights pure science or science education and related activities with a particular focus on the ASEAN region. It is a forum for scientist and education scholars who wish to share their research of current science and education issues. Whilst the journal is based in Malaysia, articles with a broad global focus are welcome. We invite submissions of original articles from a wide spectrum of research areas, which may include multiple areas of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, Science Education, Mathematics Education, Chemistry Education, Technology in Education

Submission of an article to the EDUCATUM Journal of Science and Mathematics is held to imply that it represents an original contribution not previously published, and that it is not being considered elsewhere. All submissions must conform to our published guidelines. A flexibility of presentation mode may be accepted for practice-led and based research articles, notwithstanding an imperative of strong academic writing standards.

The EDUCATUM Journal of Science and Mathematics has an ongoing submission process and articles can be submitted at any time. Deadlines for each issue for published on the website and with the Call for Submissions distribution. Publication is bi-annual.
