Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan mendalami kaedah tradisional pewarisan ilmu permainan Makyung Kelantan. Kajian ini meneroka secara terperinci berkenaan kaedah pewarisan ilmu secara tradisional menerusi kaedah Tok Guru mewariskan ilmu Makyung kepada anak murid atau pewaris, serta pewaris mewarisi ilmu Makyung daripada Tok Guru. Kajian ini turut mendedahkan dan menjelaskan kaedah tradisional pewarisan ilmu Makyung secara tepat. Kajian ini dijayakan dengan menggunakan kaedah temu bual dan pemerhatian semasa kajian lapangan yang dilakukan bersama-sama beberapa orang pakar rujuk Makyung Kumpulan Seri Gabus di Kampung Gabus To’Uban, Pasir Mas, Kelantan dan Kumpulan Sri Gunong, Persatuan Seni Pusaka Sri Gunong, Gunong, Bachok, Kelantan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat empat pengkaedahan secara tradisional dalam pengkaedahan pewarisan ilmu Makyung tradisional Kelantan, iaitu kaedah pewarisan secara berguru angin sako bako, titih seni permainan dan juga tiru.

 

Abstract

This study explores the traditional method of knowledge transmission of Kelantanese Makyung. This study examines in detail how Tok Guru teaches Makyung to students and how students learn from the Tok Guru. This study also reveals several different ways in which Makyung is traditionally taught.  This study uses the methods of interview and participant observation conducted during fieldwork with Makyung performers from the Seri Gabus Performance Group in Kampung Gabus To' Uban, Pasir Mas, Kelantan and Makyung Sri Gunong, Sri Gunong Heritage Art Association, in Gunong, Bachok, Kelantan.  The findings demonstrate that there are four traditional methods of Makyung knowledge transmission, namely berguru, angin sako bako, titih seni permainan and tiru.
