The absence of support system and the failure to meet adequate basic needs have made these homeless ex-prisoners continue to live in a stressful life and harm. This kind of situation actually form the meaning of life because of the life pressure that they have gone through. It is caused by their life and environment they live in until they form their own meaning of life. The challenges of life also require them to develop resilience in facing life as homeless and surrounding presuures. Therefore, a qualitative study was conducted by interviewing 15 homeless ex-prisoners around Chow Kit Road. The findings find two main themes. For the first theme which is the meaning in life, the study obtains related sub-themes about living a normal life, accepting the reality of life (surrender and contentment), trying to ensure survival by showing feelings of dissapointment. Furthermore, the study finds that in terms of the form of self-resilience, it shows sub-themes such as adaptability, resilience can change over time and organize themselves in the face of unpleasant events. The results of the findings can be used to gain knowledge about the homelesse ex-prisoners as important subject research to be emphasized.
