Penggunaan Metode Tafsir bi al-Ra’y dalam Tafsir al-Manar: Satu Analisis

Abstract

This article discusses the approach of Tafsir bi al-Ra’y by Sayyid Muhammad Rida Rasyid in his Tafsir al-Manar. The approach used in his tafsir has attracted Muslim people all over the world. However, some of the issues raised from the approach had brought controversy and polemic between him and traditionalist scholars in Egypt. The issues raised were black magic, jins, sinners who have committed great sin and the miracle of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h).
