Abstract

The obstacles encountered during the Covid-19 Pandemic have given awareness to all parties involved in the development of education to work together to overhaul the education system. During these difficult times, the headmasters are given the responsibility to manage and improve the situation at schools so that continuous learning opportunities for all students are offered without any hindrance. Thus, this study aimed to examine the level of headmasters’ sustainable leadership practices from the teacher’s perspectives in four indigenous primary schools (SK Asli), Negeri Sembilan. Quantitative research with a survey method has been implemented in this study. A total of 50 teachers who were selected at simple random were sampled using the Sustainable Leadership Questionnaire (SLQ) instrument. SPSS 25.0 were utilized to analyze the data. The finding proved that the level of sustainable leadership practices among headmasters is at a high level (mean=4.55, SD=0.43). This finding is expected to provide indicators and awareness to school headmasters to reflect on self-leadership practices in this ever-changing educational system where the headmasters are encouraged to practice sustainable leadership practices to enable schools to offer excellent educational services to all students.
