Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap profesionalisme guru berdasarkan empat dimensi iaitu watak guru, komitmen untuk berubah dan peningkatan berterusan, pengetahuan subjek dan pedagogi, dan kewajipan dan hubungan kerja di luar kelas di sekolah rendah di semenanjung Malaysia. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 384 guru sekolah yang dipilih secara rawak. Untuk mendapatkan data, borang soal selidik digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data daripada guru di Semenanjung Malaysia. Data akan dianalisis bagi mendapatkan min bagi setiap item untuk di interpretasi sama ada rendah, sederhana atau tinggi. Dapatan kajian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahawa tahap amalan profesionalisme guru adalah tinggi. Kajian ini dapat membantu pihak yang berkaitan untuk melihat tahap profesionalisme di kalangan guru di Semenanjung Malaysia.
