Abstract

The 1956 Razak Report and the 1957 Education Ordinance were some of the steps taken to establish positive ethnic relations among the the multi-racial community in Malaysia for the past 60 years. In the 21st century, the rapid technology advancement has driven the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE) to strive to transform the Malaysian population into an information-savvy community. There have been many projects implemented to integrate information technology and multimedia into the teaching and learning (T&L) in line with the Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (PPPM 2013-2025). As such, this study conducted to identify factors in the acceptance of the technology and organizational culture affect application service 1BestariNet among secondary school teachers in Pulau Pinang. This study was conducted using on-line questionnaires involving 150 respondents. However, only 80 respondents gave their responses. The study findings showed that technology acceptance and organisational culture influenced the 1BestariNet application. This study would provide an impact on the implementation of 1BestariNet among the teachers, students, and staff of MOE as well as information from the new models to be developed.
