Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap amalan kepimpinan guru dalam kalangan guru-guru sekolah rendah. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif berbentuk tinjauan yang menggunakan borang soal selidik sebagai alat mengumpul data. Kajian melibatkan 108 orang responden yang terdiri daripada guru-guru daripada sembilan buah sekolah rendah kebangsaan dan jenis kebangsaan di Daerah Bagan Datuk, Perak. Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensi. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap kepimpinan guru adalah pada tahap tinggi. Hasil dapatan ujian-t dan ANOVA pula menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan dalam amalan kepimpinan guru berdasarkan faktor jantina, umur dan tempoh perkhidmatan. Implikasi kajian merumuskan bahawa guru-guru telah bersedia untuk memainkan peranan sebagai pemimpin dalam meningkatkan kecemerlangan sekolah. Kesediaan ini perlu digembeleng bersama dengan kepimpinan formal bagi memajukan sekolah.

This study aimed to identify the level of teacher leadership practices among primary school teachers. This is a quantitative study using the questionnaire in collecting data. The study involved 108 respondents consisting of teachers from nine national primary schools and vernacular primary school in Bagan Datuk, Perak. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings show that the level of teacher leadership is at a high level. The results of the t-test and ANOVA showed that there was no significant difference in teacher leadership practices based on gender, age and years of service. The implication of the study concludes that teachers are ready to play a role as a leader in improving the school. This willingness should be coupled with formal leadership to advance the school.
