Abstract

Malaysia merupakan sebuah negara demokrasi yang amat menghargai bakat dan kebolehan semula jadi masyarakatnya yang berbilang kaum dalam pelbagai bidang, salah satunya adalah bidang sukan. Usaha untuk memperkasakan bidang sukan di peringkat sekolah dalam usaha mengoptimalkan keberhasilan dan pencapaian atlet murid dalam pelbagai bidang sukan perlu dimulakan. Oleh yang demikian, satu kertas konsep disediakan untuk mengkaji jurulatih elit di Sekolah Sukan Malaysia dalam membangunkan atlet murid yang berbakat. Kertas konsep ini akan membincangkan keseluruhan proses kajian ini. Pada dasarnya kajian ini akan dijalankan menggunakan Kaedah Kualitatif melalui pendekatan Evolved Grounded Theory oleh Strauss dan Corbin (1990, 1998, 2008) dan The Coaching Model (Cote et al., 1995) serta melibatkan jurulatih elit Sekolah Sukan Malaysia sebagai subjek kajian. Melalui kertas konsep ini, penerangan lanjut akan diberikan mengenai pengenalan, pernyataan masalah, objektif, metodologi, dapatan kajian, perbincangan, implikasi kajian dan kesimpulan. Kajian ini secara langsung akan meneroka isu, cabaran dan halangan yang dihadapi oleh jurulatih elit dalam merancang dan melaksanakan program latihan yang melibatkan atlet murid sekolah sukan. Melalui kajian ini juga, hasil dapatan kajian yang diperolehi akan dibandingkan dengan The Coaching Model (Cote et al., 1995) bagi melihat variasi dapatan dan perkembangan hasil kajian. Akhir sekali, melalui pengumpulan dan analisis data yang dijalankan secara saintifik, dapatan kajian yang diperolehi akan membantu dalam menghasilkan model kejurulatihan yang berorientasikan Sekolah Sukan Malaysia berdasarkan reka bentuk penyelidikan yang dijalankan.
