Challenges of Visually Impaired Students (OKUMP) in Learning the Knowledge of Qiraat at Darul Quran, Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM)

Visually Impaired Students (OKUMP) Darul Quran, JAKIM, is a group that studies the science of Qiraat. OKUMP students in the Tahfiz wal Qiraat Diploma program must learn the science of Qiraat in semesters one and two. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by OKUMP in understanding the science of Qiraat. The researcher used a qualitative study method through online interviews to discover the obstacles OKUMP students face in deepening their knowledge of Qiraat. Sixteen respondents, including OKUMP Darul Quran students and alumni, selected and cooperated well throughout the study. The study found three main challenges OKUMP students face in understanding the science of Qiraat: the Braille Qiraat book, the basics of Arabic, and the teacher's teaching method. OKUMP students need to be given more attention than average students to understand their knowledge of Qiraat well.
