Abstract

The Karantina program is one of the fast-memorizing methods of the Quran. The Tahfiz Karantina Program was introduced in Malaysia specifically for those who want to memorize the Quran quickly. However, there are some shortcomings seen in the Karantina method. Thus, this study aims to identify the issues in the Karantina method. The study used library research by referring to the reading materials of articles, previous studies reports, and related official websites. The study found that four issues arose throughout the Tahfiz Karantina program: the difficulty of adapting, a less conducive environment, the high cost of the program, and the lack of skilled teachers. The result also provides recommendations for improvements that can be enforced, namely emphasis on health care (mental & physical), environment: biah solehah, reducing the program costs, and providing exceptional training for tahfiz teachers. The result of the study proves that every issue that arises has a solution. Thus, it indirectly helps overcome the weaknesses of the Karantina method.
