The study examined the spaces percieved as intimidating and unsafe by tourists in the tourist area of Kuala Lumpur. Two methods were used in this qualitative study, namely interview and photovoice. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty-two (22) domestic and international tourists. Three (3) of the participants agreed to participate in the photovoice by taking pictures of their fear in the space used for entertainment events using disposable cameras provided by the researcher. The analysis of qualitative data was implemented using ATLAS.ti software. There are three (3) themes that emerged from this research: crowded spaces, dark walkability, and the existence of people perceived as stranger and threatening in certain spaces make tourists feel unsafe when attending entertainment events in Kuala Lumpur. These findings can be used by stakeholders in organising entertainment events in the future to create a sense of safety for visitors in city tourism.</p>}, number={2}, journal={GEOGRAFI}, author={Arsalan, Muhammad Yasin Harahap and Che Leh, Fauziah}, year={2021}, month={Sep.}, pages={21–45} }
